If they take a RB over a Olineman they are idiots... go look at all these stud rbs and every damn one of them is behind a pretty damn good oline... the brown oline just mauled us all game long... RB matters less than the oline... especially now... tgere is no world where i want to go in to a season without a stud center or a solid set of tackles...

Little surprised with a RB FIRST PICK but if he is there you are getting a "bang" RB.

Something to remember - Harris is already 23.
With RB's shelf life being small to begin with, I doubt we take him in the 1st.
If he slips to the 2nd, sure.

I'm betting rd 1 is an OT or QB if one slips.

I'm thinking Harris slides because he's RB and age. I think all the rd 1 QB's will move up a bit.

Can't get exited about the draft knowing the rest of the scenery won't change. Tomlin, Finchter, Butler, et al still remain. Like getting a new Bugatti and then giving it to a first year vo-tech kid to wrench on it. Stillers draft could rate A+ but won't mean nothin' with no one worth a damn to coach 'em up.

Depending on how they run, I think Harris and Etienne will both go in Rd. 1 or at the very beginning of Rd. 2. I would take either. Both would be game changers at a skill position for us. Either of them would be my pick in Rd. 1 and then OL followed by OL in Rd. 3 or 4 again.

I don't really watch college ball as I'm usually hunting with my Grandson, but one thing I know is: I don't want ******* athletic freaks with tons of potential any more. I want football players - guys with football smarts that just knows how to play and bring intensity. I want guys who hit with a smile on their face and are mean as mother-******* hell! I want a Defense full of Jack Lamberts and an offence full of Hines Wards! **** the athletes! They may have all the physical tools but they are not football smart - there's a difference!!! I'll take the football guy every time over the Athletic freaks as the athletic freaks burn themselves out rather quickly. You can't teach football smarts, it's inherent in you and you keep those your entire career! This team needs to get back to being nasty. I watched First Take a little last night and they all agreed that no one is afraid of the Steelers anymore. Back in the day if a QB escaped the pocket, he got the **** down because he knew he would leave on a cart if he didn't. Today, the Baker Mayfield's push the envelope because they aren't afraid of getting laid out. I know the game has changed, but I'll take a flag every time in exchange for laying the mother ****** out cold!!!

I'm not against one of them, but if a top OLinemen is there, I take the linemen.

Be careful taking Carman from Clemson.
I'm from SC and watch every game they play.
If this were the 80's and you wanted a road grader at OT, he would be great.
However, he has been beaten like a drum several times this year.
I don't think he has the feet or athleticism to be a LT. Maybe a RT...but he would be an excellent OG.

Hey Slash, I remember how much you loved Dobbins. Would you consider Harris a much better or the same in talent? What are the differences,

Soon two coordinators contracts will be up. For them to be back next year they will need to be resigned.

I don't love taking a RB in the 1st but I do think Harris might be worth it if he is there at 24.

Your score is: 41267 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:

Round 1 Pick 27 (T.B.): Najee Harris, RB, Alabama (B)
Round 2 Pick 24: Rashawn Slater, OG/OT, Northwestern (A)
Round 2 Pick 27 (T.B.): Liam Eichenberg, OT, Notre Dame (A)
Round 3 Pick 23: Rodarius Williams, CB, Oklahoma State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 24: Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida (B+)
Round 4 Pick 36 (COMP): Ben Brown, OG, Mississippi (A+)
Round 6 Pick 27: Chase Allen, TE, Iowa State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 2 (S.F.): Aubrey Solomon, DT, Tennessee (A+)
Round 7 Pick 12 (S.F.): Bobby Brown, DE, Texas A&M (A+)
Round 7 Pick 18: Carson Green, OT, Texas A&M (A+)
Round 7 Pick 28: Chase Lucas, CB, Arizona State (A+)

No worthwhile QB left at 24, so dealt the pick, thinking Harris still there. He is. Focused on OL. I think Slater is going to be a superior interior lineman, probably a center who reminds us of a young Pouncey. Eichenberg at LT. Williams made big strides this season, but obviously a CB going at pick 87 has some holes in his game. Not a guy likely to blow up a running play. Chase Allen the 2nd best TE on the Iowa State team, but dude has great hands and is as tough as the SAT on most football players. 7th rounders are longshots, obviously.
