Yep attacking that Oline stabilizes the Steelers weakest link. Not sure the Steelers will go all in as much as we did. Lot of needs. But I like the idea of turning a greatest weakness into a strength.

I wouldn't take a FB though and I would need to squeeze a WR in.

24.Samuel Cosmi, OT Texas
I was open to multiple positions here, but Cosmi was the best player available at a need position, so I went that direction.

55.Jaelan Phillips, EDGE Miami (FL)
I think the Steelers are going to take an EDGE defender pretty high. I like Highsmith, but he's not going to be an elite player in year 2 and the Steelers rotate their OLBs a ton. They almost need three capable players, so this more than fills that need. I also like Jones and Weaver from Pitt. I'm actually hoping Weaver falls and we can target him in the third.

87.Javonte Williams, RB North Carolina
I did not expect Williams to fall this far. I will mock him or Gainwell any chance I get.

122.Jaylen Twyman, DT Pittsburgh
The defensive line is aging and we could always use talent. I look at Twyman as a Hargrave-type player. He's solid against the run, but has shown the ability to creative an interior pass rush. We'll see what the opt out year will mean for him. He was terrific in 2019.

193.Anthony Schwartz, WR Auburn
The Steelers have a lot of solid receivers, I want a potential game breaker with speed. Schwartz fits that category. He'll need time to develop.

212.Paddy Fisher, LB Northwestern
Productive player for a very good defense.

221.Jimmy Morrissey, OC Pitt
All of the centers went early, so I decided to go with the local product late. On the right team, I think he could develop into a 10-year starter. At worst he should be a quality IOL backup.

I tried another with a trade. I didn't want to trade out of the first round so I could get a player with a fifth-year option.

I traded the No. 24 and 193 to Tampa for their 31 and 63.

31 Alex Leatherwood, OT, Alabama
There wasn't much at 24 and I felt like I could get Leatherwood at 31.

55 Aaron Robinson, CB, UCF
Good size at 6'1" and is said to be able to play inside or outside.

63 Brevin Jordan, TE, Miami
While the Steelers could use a tight end, I don't think it's a premium position for the team. However, my RB and C targets were gone and I think he had the highest upside of the players available.

87 Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Memphis
Big play ability and a threat in the receiving game.

122 Monty Rice, LB, Georgia
I don't know if the Steelers will bring Williams back and this team got hit hard at ILB. I'm bringing in another young player to compete.

193 LaBryan Ray, DL, Alabama
More depth for the defensive line.

212 Brennan Eagles, WR, Texas
Big developmental prospect.

221 Jimmy Morrissey, C, Pitt

I like your approach. I think RB might be risky to wait until late 3 a bigger need there than OLber although I could see them picking one in two if it was the BPA. I still think round one and two is going to be some combination of T and RB. But sure a talented OLBer could alter that thinking. Would be surprised if those positions aren't the first three picks. Unless free agency brings a surprise. I am thinking less likely this season. So far the Steelers have looked at a pass rusher, T, and a RB. We know they tend to attack areas of need. A BPA within that. With T being deep they might wait until 2 or 3 even. I am already in my draft excited mode. Something we can count on the Steelers usually overall being good at.

I could see them waiting for a tackle for that reason. I know it isn't a top need, but I'd at least give some consider for Kadarius Toney. I just think the guy is a playmaker at the receiver position. I want more explosive players in this offense.

Really? I've generally seen him selected at 1.24 or below. I just picked the top 5 results from NFL mock drafts and Leatherwood went:
1.24
1.27
1.31
Twice not in the first round

I plat this daily trying to get in the high score of .51000 its like you must select harrisa of bottom of rnd 2 and bottom of rnd 3 take G/LT turner from usc to get a good score, the website has just changed little to day 2 picks and from what I have seen in several attempts is you get a A+ if you take little at say rnd 3-3 but radunz only mid rnd 3. as far as TE Eubanks and Farrell if you take in rnd 4 are both A+ Cosemi who I think will be a perfect LT just a tad raw but has the frame and skill to be a quality LT like say former Washington LT Chris Samuels quick agile more finesse but built for the pas s happy era. I think the LT that gives the Steelers everything they need is Leatherwood powerful athletic and massive kind of like Ronnie Stanley

Feel like dealing the 24th pick for a lower pick in the first plus another second-round selection is too good to pass up. If the Steelers got their QB of the future, a legit 3-down RB, and a very good LT prospect in the first two rounds, I would not much care about the rest of the draft. But then the defense picks up a ILB who was the only part of the D to show up vs. Alabama last month, another OT who is pro-ready, a run-stuffer DL, and a guy I think is going to go much higher than late 7th round, Jaelan Phillips. 6'5", 258 lbs., solid against the run, very good pass rusher.
