I agree with your picks steeltime... but i wouldnt take dickerson.. Knees.

That is exactly what I thought, but five months after his ACL reconstruction, Dickerson is doing this:

Am I totally without principle and swayed by a stupid photobomb stunt? Yes. Yes, I am.

But the dude is 325 lbs. of mauler, doing that five months after significant knee surgery. Love it.

27. Creed Humphrey OC Oklahoma [Elite interior lineman, reminds me a lot of a young Pouncey. Great footwork, can pull and lead, tough, battler]

55. Asante Samuel Jr. CB Florida State [Not a big guy. If he were 6' he would be a top-20 pick. Excellent footwork, reactions, great playing ball in air]

58. Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame [Legit LT starter material, great wingspan, 33 reps, good work vs. Clemson first game]

104. Kyle Trask QB Florida [For FSF. Big pocket passer, accurate, improving, competitive]

140. Aaron Banks OG Notre Dame [RG all day. Powerful mauler, decent footwork. As a rule, the guys picked 4th and later who do well tend to be OL]

158. Chuba Hubbard RB Oklahoma State [The more I watch him, the more he reminds me of ... James Conner, bit faster. That is not a bad thing]

245. Malcolm Koonce EDGE Buffalo [Developmental. It's the 7th @#$%ing round, people. Can bend around the corner though]

254. Bryan Mills CB NC Central [Developmental. It's the 7th round. Tall, very thin, excellent at tracking receivers, playing ball in air. Some scouts love him]

That's the highest grade I've ever seen for a Steelers draft on that site. Was Dickerson not available at 55 or did you prefer Myers?

No trades. I could definitely live with this. Addressed almost everything on our list. Some projects but tried to get speed and athleticism for the mid to late round guys that probably won't play this year but have room to develop. Got a big NT in the 7th that can stuff the run. He needs work on his pass-rushing but you can't have everything.

Your Picks:

Round 1 Pick 24: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama (A)

Round 2 Pick 23: Dillon Radunz, OT, North Dakota State (A+)

Round 4 Pick 23: Pete Werner, ILB/OLB, Ohio State (A+)

Round 6 Pick 33: Trevon Grimes, WR, Florida (A+)

Round 7 Pick 18: Shemar Jean-Charles, CB, Appalachian State (A+)

Round 7 Pick 27: Naquan Jones, DT, Michigan State (A)

Your score is: 40614 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:

Round 1 Pick 24: Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson (A-)
Round 2 Pick 23: Dillon Radunz, OT, North Dakota State (A+)
Round 3 Pick 23: Quinn Meinerz, OG/C, Wisconsin-Whitewater (A)
Round 4 Pick 23: Pete Werner, ILB/OLB, Ohio State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 35 (COMP): Davis Mills, QB, Stanford (C+)
Round 6 Pick 33: Janarius Robinson, DE/OLB, Florida State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 18: Shemar Jean-Charles, CB, Appalachian State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 27: Trevon Grimes, WR, Florida (A+)

No trades to get a more realistic view of how things turn out. Etienne is the 2nd best RB in the class, a breakaway threat. Radunz an excellent true LT prospect, Meinerz a brawler who anchors the middle, Werner a very underrted ILB prospect fast enough to take on TE's, Mills an excellent developmental QB with superior arm strength and mobility. Robinson has so many physical skills, productivity never matched. The CB I have talked about, average size, really good footwork, shadows receivers without grabbing. And Grimes with pick 254? Big, fast WR.

thing is - on both these sites, some of the players listed as 2nd or 3rd rounders on one are available at the end of the draft in the other.

SF448, I hate drafting for need. Always want BPA. But holy hell, as I have noted, this draft lines up COMPLETELY with BPA and what the Steelers need (OT, OC, ILB, Edge, CB, to a lesser degree RB).

I go with B. Or D. Or A.

Okay, I go with D. Best RB in the draft, superb C/OG prospect, and a guy who projects as an elite LT for the next 10 years.

Running backs are terrible first-round investments as one-contract players. I don't know if I lucked into draft D or if it could actually fall like that, but if it did, that is a draft that transforms an offense. I love A because Jenkins brings attitude and Samuel was a steal in the second. Gainwell is a role player at this point, but with a boosted OL, he is a dangerous weapon as a receiver. Center is the weakest position on the entire roster, so B stands out, plus you get a solid tackle prospect in the second but a meh option for running back.

I will start with eliminating C just not my cup of tea.

I think for me it is B or D..

For the Steelers biggest weakness I think you have to go B. Improve the running game. I just think B gives you a greater chance of achieving that based on what O-line options are given. Which will balance an offense in dire need of just that balance.

traded back twice while still watching that I could land a top 3 RB .... Etienne was off the board so the 2nd trade back left me a shot at Najee or Williams or a OT

who has played LT and is gifted enough to move to C as well........... versatile dude
The thing is his natural position might be G and on a team probably needing a C to step in sooner than later you got this prospect that never played center. So more than likely he isn't a starter early. He need those C reps.

The problem isn't 1 injury, it's that this was 4 season ending injuries in 5 years. He tore his ACL twice. How long will he hold up? Also, he's the exact opposite of what the steelers look for at Center. He's a big mauler who doesn't move well. Unless the steelers are really changing their focus, i can't see Dickerson being high on the steelers list.
