Good for him, glad he gets to cash in another contract as he fades off into the sunset...

Cardinals sign LB Larry Foote to 1-year contract

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals have added linebacker Larry Foote to their roster, giving him a chance to extend his NFL career to a 13th season.

Foote confirmed Tuesday he signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals. He has started 10 postseason games and won two Super Bowls, giving Arizona's defense an experienced player as the franchise makes a push to earn a spot in the postseason for the first time since the 2009 season.

Foote has started 119 of 172 games during his 12-year career, 11 with the Pittsburgh Steelers and one with the Detroit Lions. The former Michigan star played in one game last season for the Steelers because he ruptured his right biceps. The Steelers released him in March.

.

Well... so much for having an emergency option in case of a major injury. Good for Larry... bummer for us.

Good for Foote. Lots of folks bagged on him pretty hard but he quietly went about his career as a Steeler and while not a super star, filled his role pretty well. Good luck, Larry.

This is actually pretty disturbing...

Do the Cards have a scout just sitting outside the Steelers facilities or something? This trend is beyond comical at this point.

No disrespect to Foote, but this may be one of the best thread titles ever.

With the whiz in Nashville now, they might have some competition for our scraps . . .

Of course.
Carolina did the same thing as an expansion team. Hired Dom Capers as their first HC and he proceeded to sign every Steelers cut and FA who wasn't fast enough to get away.
