I wonder how that will effect the comp formula.

He'll probably be really good in a 4-3. (I'm guessing the Eagles run a 4-3, who gives a **** really) I never thought he was made for the NT position. Obviously a good player... and we still need a huge blocker-eating, run-stuffing NT.

Fletcher Cox is going to have a big year. Last year they just doubled him on every play. With Hargrave, they will be able to run some crazy **** on D. Sorry to see him so but money is money.

Kind of sad today to see a couple of the guys I loved as Steelers leave. Now Javon is definitely one of the guys "that was never used properly " But man, good for him. He sure got paid.

between $2 short & ten buck two
Allthough he was playing strong, OUR system didn't use him properly.

Most here knew he was not coming back as to affordability. We couldn't afford it and for to have paid him what philly did, .......well like I said we didn't use him right so the money would have been a big waste.

I'm glad he got paid.

That depends on who the Steelers sign in free agency. If we sign just a few dirt cheap free agents, this should fetch at least a 4th round comp pick. Losing Hargrave himself is worth a 3rd round comp pick.

So we've had a guy on our roster that when he got to play looked good, and ended up being the highest paid NT in the NFL, but Tomlin only played him like 35% of the time???? Cam, him, Tuitt on a more consistent basis would've been ******* scary.

Think we can during the draft. We know McCullers can't do it.

Highest paid nose tackle, sixth highest paid defensive tackle. I'm surprised he took such a short deal.

Because after 3 good years, he's going to get another big contract. Smart move, betting on himself. And for a high motor guy, it's a good bet!

Even if we offered him something, we never would have come close to $26 million guaranteed. Maybe half that. but, we all knew he was expendable if they tagged Bud.
