He could fill McCain's role/spot, maybe with more upside?

Can he walk?

Knee issues...ouch

Two torn patellar tendons...

Patrick Robinson named New Orleans Saints’ recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award

Robinson’s teammates voted him as the club’s winner based on his work ethic and perseverance in successfully rehabilitating from two major knee injuries suffered in 2013, almost three months apart.

In June 2013, he injured his patellar tendon and underwent surgery and an ardent rehabilitation to return to the team in training camp. However, in the second week of the regular season in a contest at Tampa Bay on Sept. 15, he ruptured the same patellar tendon, which required season-ending surgery. He then went through more than 10 months of aggressive rehabilitation to return to the field for 2014 training camp.

Robinson, the club’s first round draft pick in 2010, has appeared in eight games with two starts in 2014 and has posted 19 tackles (13 solo), one interception, five passes defensed and four special teams tackles, to tie a career-high.

with his injury history he might be signed with an affordable contract with little guaranteed money, if he gets injured the team won't be strapped. But if he stays healthy we got a decent player and he gets his money

If the money is right I think he'd be a good addition to the team. I still think we need a starter and they're thinking Robinson to replace McCain as quality depth but who knows what Tomlin and Colbert have on their minds. All I know is those two better hit this thing right the next couple years with who they bring in here or they both could be out after 2016. Tomlin has not been extended yet so I think its a wait and see what happens the next two seasons. Especially in light of the contract extension to Ben so they better be bringing in some quality through F/A and the draft. The jury is still out on the last two #1 picks. If those two guys don't cut it will speak volumes on whether these two are here past 2016.

Trying to hijack the Robinson thread? Come on dude. We have been all over the Tomlin/Colbert issue. Let Robinson have this thread. :)

I'm with you Bermuda. Sign Robinson and explore the trade possibilities with Saints for Keenan. I like those additions.

You masturbate to deviant porn while waiting for a response in hopes you drag one tiny bit of brilliance from the cruel universe of infinite possibilities and be recognized for your cutting repartee?

Dude, I had no idea. Apologies to you as well for offending you. Really didn't mean to, I swear. Sorry Supe. I hope we can find some way to move beyond this.

Wasn't the Saints D pretty bad last year? And you want to sign both of their corners?

They both equal to, if not better than McCain/Blake/Allen...the Saints D was bad because, like Coach LeBeau - most everyone knows what Coach Ryan is going to do - BLITZ.

They looked like they were able to contain the steelers last year when we played them.

Are you new or something? Repeat after me:

They would look good in black and gold. They weren't used properly by the Saints. Our coaching staff can turn them around.

What kind of bounty do we have to pay to get them to perform at a championship level? Too soon?

NFL.com lists the 2 best remaining corners as Tillman and Tramon Williams. I know Tillman is as old as Ike but what about Williams? Kinda old-turns 32 tomorrow, but he's a former Pro Bowler. Has he dropped off that much? His stats look ok but they don't show how often he was beaten. Would he be a good fit at all? Probably no more expensive than Robinson at this point. Thoughts??

I'd take a flyer on Denarius Moore as a kick returner - a place of need - and No. 4 receiver. Wouldn't cost much.
