I’ll say this though cause I’m still watching.
They look defeated.

If they don’t make the playoffs. I wonder if Sullivan gets canned?

Right now, Carter looks to be the anchor. He’s 38. Cullen was playing for the Pens at 40 but still seemed to produce. Replace Carter with anyone at this point and I think that’s a step in the right direction.

They’ll definitely have to address the goalie situation in the offseason

Only life Pens showed was Archibald’s post game shenanigans

Well that was a hoot. 6 goals gave up on 24 shots. Sid&Jake didn't register a single shot on goal combined.

I’m not sure they’ll make the playoffs. They only play Philadelphia and Columbus one time each the rest of the way.

I think this is what happens when you let a team get old.....They cant hang with most teams for 3 periods, have looked bad most of the back to backs, and now they are struggling at the end of the year.

I said that last night too Sarge. They could very well lose to the Sens Aves and Stars and be out of the wildcard. The Panthers are 1 point behind and playing good, they have games in hand against the Islanders but are 2 behind them.

They are picking a pretty bad time to play the worst hockey of the year.

A NHL team without a goalie..is like an NFL team without a QB....
Not very good...

They have to shelf Jarry and hope DeSmith plays over his head just to make the playoffs...

Yes last night they outshot the Rangers and lost 6-0 lol.

Igor 6 and Jarry/Desmith 0.

Lately---most games have gone that route..

They have a good enough top 3 lines and defenseman top 2 pairings, which is usually good enough....but without the most important position on the team being mediocre mostly, and poor sometimes... (aka last night and the Montreal game).....that equates to another first round loss, if they can even get there,,

And the Pens lose 2-1 after allowing a powerplay goal late in the third. They outshot the Sens
48-21 and still lost.

Think they will finally break their streak of making the playoffs.

Lose to a Sens team that lost 5 straight coming in and with some guy they found hanging out at a 7-11 playing goalie. :pound:

Sid’s body language on Saturday said it all. I won’t be shocked if they don’t get in. I think they have enough to be a first round team. But I also think Sid has carried this current roster as far as it can.

Officially out of a playoff spot after tonight's debacle.

Isn't there a movie that mirrors this repeatable performance and result?

This team is toast. done. time to burn it to the ground and get a younger core group. It was a great run!

I wouldn't want to be the guy that lights the match, and the guy that is stuck with rebuilding after the smoke clears.

Its going to be ugly. And its going to be painful, for a long time.

I'm right here. Can't you understand plain English

Yep...It was ugly for a few years BC--Before Crosby. It'll likely have to return to that before we can draft the next franchise player. Would be cool to see Sid hand off the torch like Mario did with him.
