Known for discovering overlooked talent at historically black colleges. He is largely responsible for finding:

John Stallworth
Ernie Holmes
Donnie Shell
Mel Blount
L.C Greenwood

Not taking anything away from Mr Nunn. But wasn't there another scout that got a lot of credit for the steelers... One that scouted for Donahoe,, then left ...?

He is one of the main reasons we won our first 4 Super Bowls. He was the scout that orchestrated the 1974 draft.

Yep, he was a big part of the '70's talent and from all I have heard..a good man to have around.
RIP Mr. Nunn

View attachment 65 RIP Bill Nunn. The timing of his passing, a day before the draft, is peculiar. I'm sure it will be emotional for the Rooneys & Steelers coaches in that room these next few days...
