There isn't anyone better on the roster and they are highly unlikely to find a better player in FA or through the draft. He's the best option the team has, and as the most successful QB to ever don the black and gold, he's earned the right to finish his career here.

I suspect he'll look much better a year after the return from surgery and if North Montana allows him to throw the ball more than 3 ******* yards.
