just wondering the date because these cuts should be no trainers because of salary and not worth the salary Foster Chickello Vance
once these are cut I believe it will free up 14 mill in room thats just breathing room for a bud extension, what vets can be restructued or will make sence cap wise?
Tuitt Pouncey Villineuva anyone else that would help free enough for a 5 yr 70-80 mill deal and maybe 2-3 very low signings like a cheap NT vet WR and a cheap vertical threat TE

that will all start when the new league year starts. Sometime in early March I think.Next big event is the combine at the end of this month.

Cuts are different from free agency. they can cut a player at anytime I am thinking.

Now if you think the Steelers are going to cut more than one O-lineman at a time.... you might be misguided.

Some local sports writers don't think we will cut many, only restructures. Cam will probably be extended and free up some there. Chickletts should definitely be cut.

Chicky,Barron, Foster and Vance should all be cut and save about 18 mil.
Some good TEs will be available in F/A.

Tuitt and Pouncey won't bring any cap space if cut. Axing Villanueva leaves us with another need that won't be filled with what's already on the roster or the draft so it doesn't make sense to cut any of those 3

Tuitt and Pouncey aren't getting cut. Neither is Villaneuva. Heck, Barron and McDonald might not get cut either if you listen to the guys at the PG.

between $2 short & ten buck two
JUNE 1st is a critical date as if cut after june first then their cap hit is cut between the two years.

normally, yes. but next year may be an uncapped year due to the CBA situation. If that doesn't get signed, then I think all monies owed hit this year (i.e., no June 1 designations to spread the hit)

I keep seeing it. BUT

If any of you think we are cutting Vance Mcdonald to free up cap space or for any other reason other than a make believe indictment for child porn,,,, you're on dope.

If they don't cut at least 3 of the 4 suspected guys, we can say goodbye to Bud.
They simply won't have the $$ to FT him.

Vance missed 2 games last year.

Stephon Tuit has missed 10 games this season,
Two games the season before,
and 4 games the season before that.

So 16 games in 3 seasons. So, Tuitt is Fine China Too? Get rid of him?

yeah.

Tuitt for me is a think about replacing (keep Hargrave). Based on his injury past.

I think its just the nature of the beast. Guys can get rolled up on at any moment (ala pouncy). My whole point is , if you think Vance is brittle, apply it to everyone.
I think they keep him , (extend his contract or not). I don't think they use #2 on a TE. I think they will use it on Offensive line. I would think they might want to look at edge guy too for Duprees eventual loss. But idk what kind of quality they will get in Rd. 2 at that position.

I liked what I saw from Tuitt last year, but yeah Hargrave too. Hargrave is going FA to get paid. Tuitt is under contract.
