Bradley has been just average and IMO should not be on the team. Countless turnovers, missed playing ball into space, misses wide open net? Only a defender in the net and he kicks it right at him. That ball should have been kicked around our 18 or even in the stands to let the fans look at the "new" 6 patch ball. Landon makes none of the above mistakes. Oh, and Jones, Howard, Johnson and Dempsey have been real solid

To move on though it seems easy. Win, Tie or Ghana/Portugal Tie. They own head to head tie breaker over Ghana and a 5+ goal differential over Portugal.

Head to head is after goal differential and goals scored in the tie breaking scenarios... If Ghana ends up scoring one more goal than the U.S. with the results being a U.S. loss and a Ghana win on Thursday, then the U.S. would advance off of the head to head... If Ghana wins 2-0 and the U.S. loses 1-0, then Ghana would advance...

The 2nd Portugal goal was definitely a heartbreaker. However, all in all, the US is representing pretty well.

If the U.S. and Germany came out and everyone just laid down on the ground at the start of the game and they did nothing, would you be upset that the U.S. went through with that type of shenanigans or would you be ok with the result... It wouldn't happen that way, but what would your reaction be?

West Germany and Austria basically did that in 1982 with a 1-0 West Germany win that put both teams through to the next round. In the second half, there were three shots with none on goal...West Germany had 6 tackles... Austria had a 99% pass completion percenage and Germany had a 98%...

Ahh, ****, Italy is out. They should make Uruguay forfeit the game as punishment for biting.

Any biters today or is the soccer establishment cracking down?

I have a great idea for a Roger Goodell career change!

The biter just got suspended for 4 months

meanwhile, a monsoon for the USA match

roads around the stadium flooded in the deluge but the game will go on

Crap, we're down 1-0. I don't see how we can make up a massive deficit like that.

Getting out of that group is unreal for the U.S. Belgium is a very good team, but the U.S. can hang with them... Argentina in South America may be another story...
