but I'm gonna just drop this here

https://www.buffalorumblings.com/20...ng-havoc-at-buffalo-bills-training-camp-notes

As Buffalo Bills training camp progresses into August, one fact has been more and more apparent: rookie defensive tackle Ed Oliver is a wrecking ball on Buffalo’s defense. He may have started his first training camp a little slowly, but once the pads came on, Oliver began turning up the intensity.

Oliver isn’t consistently winning his one-on-ones, yet. Wyatt Teller, Quinton Spain, and Spencer Long have been battling back against him. But Oliver’s been hitting splash plays in practice that make everyone take notice.

At the second training camp practice, Oliver pushed Ty Nsekhe practically into Matt Barkley’s lap on a bull rush. On Wednesday, Oliver did the same thing, but this time bull rushed an offensive lineman directly into Josh Allen, knocking the QB onto the ground (and earning Oliver an angry shout from Sean McDermott, not happy to see his quarterback taking major hits during practice).

On Thursday, Oliver had his best day of practice. He completely dominated a red zone session, entering the backfield on several reps. At one point, he burst through the line so quickly that three offensive linemen all lost their footing and fell to the ground.

Some caveats may apply here: It’s worth noting that Oliver’s best days of camp coincided with some injuries to the usual starters on the offensive line. Mitch Morse is sidelined, and both Spain and Long have spent time out of practice with minor injuries. That said, the backups Oliver’s dominating were starters in the NFL last season. Early on, Oliver seems to be following the right trajectory for a first round draft pick.

not even close to changing loyalties, I'll be a Steeler fan until I die....but glad he is showing his talent early in camp

Just one day after Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver was explaining how important he’s learned it is to study technique when trying to win one-on-ones battles, the rookie had his best day of camp yet.

Ed Oliver just absolutely smoked Quinton Spain and would have landed for the sack on Josh Allen in a game. I thought it was a D End at first! Wow. #Bills

Early on in team work he blew by guard Quinton Spain and would have laid a brutal hit on Josh Allen if it was a real game. Oliver’s speed and quickness was on full display throughout practice, which seemed to frustrate the offensive line by the end of the day. At one point Feliciano and Spain appeared to have an exchange with Oliver as the three had to be separated.

Coolie, thanks for the update and know this............ If Oliver was there at ten and the STEELERS disn't take him, I'd still be pissed from here to shineOla. Oliver is better than Bush but I think I'm still happy we got bush at the spot we did as opposed to who was still on the board vs our immeadiate3 needs.

Thanks

Right we could have picked say OLB/Edge Sweat, and WR D.K. Metcalf, then kept our 3rd next year. Bush better he worth it. Just think of what Dupree might ask, Sweat could be better, and will be much cheaper over the next 5 years, for sure. I also liked Greedy Williams.

So how's Greedy Williams doing? I checked, 2 picks, one on Mayfield.

How's DK Metcalf doing? Looks like he's oof to a fast start too

Sweat isn't doing so bad either.

I can't wait for Ed Oliver to demise that ******* cheatriot bullshit team. Specially the cheating part of it. I've said it before but t*mmyb*y won't make it the full season and if it is by Ed's doing, I'd be OK with that. Ed would instantly become a "NATIONAL HERO" here in aM'erica.

Why kick a man when he's down? Davis is nursing a ring finger. But hey, the guys who took spot is making some plays, which is something Davis seldom does. Hmmmm.....

Reminding the peanut galley who the Steleers should have drafted in hindsight is a hobby of mine.

Yeah, why kick a man while he's down (as you proceed to do just that).

Yeah because the benefit of hindsight really takes insight, hard work and good analysis. You really are a clown.

There are a lot of training camp phenoms. Oliver may very well be for real as should be expected going in the top 10 but we won't know until we see him in a real game. As previously stated, it's only practice.

Which specific guy would that be? You seem to be throwing out a bunch of guys to hedge your bets.

We're just lucky that Aaron Donald was already gone when our pick came up.
