The Steelers reported to camp on Thursday missing a key piece to their star studded offense. Le'Veon Bell failed to report by the 3pm deadline. The disgruntled running back has yet to sign his one year franchise tag worth 12.12 million.
The two sides we’re unable to reach a contract extension prior to the July 17th deadline forcing Bell to play out his one year deal. The Steelers and Bell will not be able to discuss a new contract until after the season concludes, so a hold out isn’t anything more then a statement from Bell.
Pleas to show up by Antonio Brown, Maurkice Pouncey, and Ramon Foster on their social media accounts went unanswered by the star running back.
It's Super Bowl season let's go bro @L_Bell26 ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

While Bell isn’t expected to hold out the entire preseason, without his presence it certainly doesn’t help the Steelers bid for a Super Bowl title. James Conner, Kniles Davis and Fitz Toussaint will carry the load until Bell returns.
Notes - Steelers wide receivers Sammie Coates, and Canaan Severin will both open training camp on the physically unable to preform list. Both can be activated at any time once they're healed from their injuries.
