Steelers rookie receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster appeared to hurt his leg during a live 11 on 11 drill today. He stayed down on the field for a few minutes before returning to his feet. After being looked at by the trainers and talking to Coach Tomlin he walked to the locker room for further evaluation. Reports after practice have indicated that he will get an MRI on Thursday morning.
It doesn’t appear to be as serious as it appeared to be, but I don’t have any information,” Tomlin said. “He’s being evaluated right now.”
Smith-Schuster exited the Steelers preseason game in the first quarter on Friday night while being evaluated for a concussion. He resumed practicing on Monday.
While the injury doesn't appear serious we will keep monitoring the situation. Check back later for an update.
