Pouncey – Everyone Will Stand Sunday

The Steelers will be back on the sideline in Baltimore on Sunday for the national anthem. Maurkice Pouncey told Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette that after practice today.

The Steelers have always been a central part of my life. I grew up listening to WDVE tapes recorded off of the radio of Steelers fight songs, and wearing Steelers jerseys as a fashion statement. I joined the SteelerNation.com message board when I was 12, and this site has been a big part of my life ever since. I’ve found life long friends and met some of the best people on earth through this site. In 2015, I was able to help revive the site and develop a news website and all of our social media platforms. I can’t wait to continue to grow with all of you. Go Steelers!

I have always been a Steeler fan and i am nearly 50. I am also a veteran of the world’s greatest navy along with my oldest son. I can honestly say without a doubt, last week the Steelers lost respect from me and others. There is a time and place to protest and is an Americans right but It is not during a time when it is to be showing respect for those that are serving and those that lost there lives giving a freedom to us. If you don’t like it get the h out of this great country. Try it in another country and see what happens, hindsight is 20/20.

It was an absolute embarrassment to me and my family last weekend. With the exception of Villanueva……until I found out it was a mistake on his part. My Granfather and Father were veterans. I have Steeler memorabilia all over my walls. I brag about Steeler football and what it stands for. Protesting is fine, but disrespecting what has been given in blood, the sacrifices that so many have given for those they never will know.
