Report – Steelers Among A Dozen Teams Interested in JJ Watt

The title says it all. The Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in JJ Watt. Seriously, who wouldn’t be?

The Steelers currently employ two of JJ’s closest friends, his brothers Derek and TJ Watt, so why wouldn’t he want to land in Pittsburgh.

The only issue seems to be whether JJ considers the Steelers to be Super Bowl contenders, and if the Steelers can somehow manage to come up with enough salary cap room to sign him.

Now, obviously the Steelers would always have interest in a player of JJ’s caliber, but I was sort of surprised that they came out in an initial report as being interested. Now whether that’s just Ed Werder assuming or he actually knows is debatable.

Watt will reportedly take the weekend to collect his thoughts and then get into it on Monday.

Do you want JJ to come to Pittsburgh? Let us know in the comments!

The Steelers have always been a central part of my life. I grew up listening to WDVE tapes recorded off of the radio of Steelers fight songs, and wearing Steelers jerseys as a fashion statement. I joined the SteelerNation.com message board when I was 12, and this site has been a big part of my life ever since. I’ve found life long friends and met some of the best people on earth through this site. In 2015, I was able to help revive the site and develop a news website and all of our social media platforms. I can’t wait to continue to grow with all of you. Go Steelers!

If JJ thinks about how good the STEELERS DEFENSE is without him imagine how DOMINATE they can be with him!! DEFENSE WHENS CHAMPIONSHIPS PERIOD! The offense will be an offense that can put up points & with TJ opposite of JJ with Cam Heyward & Stephon Tuitt in the middle suddenly this DEFENSE TURNS INTO A GREAT DEFENSE! Lords willing JJ WILL SEE IT! Hopefully he meant it when he said money isn’t the most important thing it’s a SUPER BOWL! GOD BLESS!
