Steelers Continue Roster Moves

Today the Steelers waived/injured safety Jordan Dangerfield. Dangerfield injured his ankle against the Panthers during the last preseason game.

Dangerfield played in all 16 games last season, but he was made expendable when the Steelers traded for JJ Wilcox yesterday from Tampa Bay.

Linebacker Steven Johnson was signed back to the roster after being released on Saturday. Johnson and the Steelers probably had a handshake deal to bring him back once they finished off their roster moves. As a veteran he wasn’t subject to waivers which wouldn’t allow another team to claim him outright.

Corner Cam Sutton was added to injured reserve. Sutton re-injured his hamstring which kept him out of most of training camp. Sutton will be eligible to return this season.
