Steelers Initial Depth Chart Released
- Updated: August 8, 2017

The Steelers have officially release their first depth chart of the 2017 season. While it’s nice to see how things are currently unfolding in some of the key position battles, this depth chart largely means nothing.
Players who aren’t participating due to injuries were left off of the depth chart. Receiver Martavis Bryant who is expected back at some point this week is not listed.
Those not listed on the depth chart due to injuries, or other issues include – C Maurkice Pouncey, RB LeVeon Bell (holdout), RB James Conner, CB Cam Sutton, FS Mike Mitchell, Demarcus Ayers, CB Senquez Golson, QB Landry Jones, WR Martavis Bryant (league issue), LB Keion Adams, WR Sammie Coates (PUP), and C Mike Matthews.
Players that are available and not listed on the depth chart should just be assumed to follow the guys ahead at their position.
Quarterback-Ben Roethlisberger, Joshua Dobbs, and Bart Houston.
Running Back-Fitzgerald Toussaint, Knile Davis, and Terrell Watson.
Full Back-Roosevelt Nix.
Wide Receiver 1-Antonio Brown, Eli Rogers, and Marcus Tucker.
Wide Receiver 2-Darrius Heyward-Bey, Justin Hunter, and JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Tight End-Jesse James, David Johnson, and Xavier Grimble.
Right Tackle-Marcus Gilbert, Chris Hubbard, and Brian Milhalik.
Right Guard-David DeCastro, Matt Feiler, and Keavon Milton.
Center-B.J Finney, and Kyle Friend.
Left Guard-Ramon Foster, B.J Finney, and Ethan Cooper.
Left Tackle-Alejandro Villanueva, Jerald Hawkins, and Jake Rodgers.
Not any surprises on this end. The wide receiver depth will change once Bryant is entered into the WR2 spot. Still a very crowded room.
Left Defensive End-Cam Heyward, L.T Walton, and Johnny Maxey.
Nose Tackle-Javon Hargrave, Daniel McCullers, and Roy Philson.
Right Defensive End-Stephon Tuitt, Tyson Alualu, and Francis Kallon.
Left Outside Linebacker-Bud Dupree, Anthony Chickillo, and Arthur Moates.
Left Inside Linebacker-Ryan Shazier, L.J Fort, and Steven Johnson.
Right Inside Linebacker-Vince Williams, Steven Johnson, and Tyler Matakevich.
Right Outside Linebacker-James Harrison, T.J Watt, and Farrington Huguenin.
Left Cornerback-Artie Burns, William Gay, and Coty Sensabaugh.
Right Cornerback-Ross Cockrell, William Gay, and Coty Sensabaugh.
Free Safety-Robert Golden, Jacob Hagan, and Terrish Webb.
Strong Safety-Sean Davis, Jordan Dangerfield, and Jacob Hagan.
No sign of anyone unseating William Gay for the slot corner position at this time. Notably Mike Hilton who by all accounts is having a good training camp was left off.
Specialists-K Chris Boswell, P Jordan Berry, LS Colin Holba, PR Antonio Brown, and KR Knile Davis.
