Bouchette: Bell Late for Saturday Walk-Thru Last Week

I don’t believe that we need to recap what happened last Sunday at Heinz Field. Soon that day will likely be blocked out of everyone’s mind like other playoff disasters. But the Post Gazette’s Ed Bouchette came out this morning with an eye opening report about Le’Veon Bell.

Bouchette reported that Bell didn’t show up to the teams walk-thru on Saturday morning until it was ‘five minutes’ from being over. He also arrived very late to Heinz Field on Sunday in preparation for their eventual loss to Jacksonville.

Apparently Mike Tomlin requires players and coaches to be at the stadium two hours prior to the game. His wishes have been mostly ignored by some players and even a coach or two as Bouchette describes here.

Bell is a super star in this league, but he still has a lot of growing up to do. While I don’t believe that he purposely wants to cause issues or problems, he needs to be more aware of his actions.

The Steelers have some tough decisions to make this offseason, and the first one starts with what to do with their star running back.
