The Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Pitt Panthers will not be forced to wear masks when they play in home games at Heinz Field. They will however have to abide by the Governor’s regulations during practice and on the sidelines.

The state of Pennsylvania put into effect new measures to help stop the spread of COVID19, and a stricter mandate on masks accompanied the order. There was initially some confusion by different media outlets that suggested the teams playing at Heinz Field would have to adhere to the mandate and wear masks during their games.

That has since been debunked. Below is what the Pennsylvania Governors office said about the matter.

The Steelers have always been a central part of my life. I grew up listening to WDVE tapes recorded off of the radio of Steelers fight songs, and wearing Steelers jerseys as a fashion statement. I joined the message board when I was 12, and this site has been a big part of my life ever since. I’ve found life long friends and met some of the best people on earth through this site. In 2015, I was able to help revive the site and develop a news website and all of our social media platforms. I can’t wait to continue to grow with all of you. Go Steelers!
