Mike Tomlin met with the media for his weekly press conference on Tuesday. He was able to update us on some of the injury concerns from last week and of those who were injured on Sunday.
Marcus Gilbert left the game on Sunday with a hamstring injury. Tomlin said that he would be 'limited' early in the week and that his practice participation would dictate his status for Sunday in Chicago. TJ Watt falls in the same category with an injured groin.
Safety JJ Wilcox has entered the final stages of the NFL's concussion protocol after he knocked himself out cold against the Browns.
Stephon Tuitt is getting better by the day, but he will need to practice to play. Time will tell.
Tomlin didn't list Alejandro Villanueva on today's injury list even though he left the game Sunday. Villanueva left due to heat related issues, but it wasn't discovered until today that he had been sick all of last week. Fellow offensive lineman Ramon Foster told 93.7 the Fan this morning that Villanueva lost over 20 pounds because he wasn't able to keep anything food or drink down. That might explain why he struggled against the Vikings.
Check back tomorrow for a practice update.
