JuJu is the Light at the End of the Tunnel

By Logan Leslie

For many of us as fans, we don’t just root for the team as a whole, we strive for individual players to root for. We once believed Antonio Brown was the guy all of us could root for through thick and thin. However, since the arrival of JuJu Smith-Schuster most of us were proven to be very wrong. What more could a fan ask of a player than JuJu has given us these past two seasons? He has produced on the field at a historic clip, given us some amazing touchdown celebrations, knocked out Vontaze Burfict, sent the entire city on a hunt to find his bike, hilariously called out Mia Khalifa, he has played with his heart on his sleeve, and most importantly, he has given us hope for the future.

At 22 years old, Smith-Schuster is still one of the youngest receivers in the league and also among one of the most productive. Last season he recorded 111 receptions for 1426 yards and 7 touchdowns, en route to being named the team MVP (the youngest in Steelers franchise history). With the departure of Antonio Brown, the most targeted wide receiver in the league over the last few seasons, Big Ben will undoubtedly turn to the young phenom in his place.

JuJu will be in line for a huge payday in the next 2-3 years following the departure of Bell, Brown and eventually Big Ben. We hope and pray he never loses his amazing charisma. He is without a doubt the Steelers best asset for the future on and off the field.

If you’re in the mood for some goosebumps, watch the video he posted on social media today. If you’re a Marvel fan it’ll be even better. Notice how JuJu made this video about the team and not only about himself, this is the guy all of yinz should embrace with open arms. See below to watch:
