Justin Hunter Coming Back on One-Year Deal

On Thursday the Steelers announced the signing of receiver Justin Hunter. Hunter signed with the Steelers last off-season after a one year stint in Buffalo.

Hunter, 26, was drafted in the second round of the 2013 draft. He has struggled to stay on the field, and when he has played he has had consistency issues. His best season came in 2014 when he started 8 games for the Titans, hauling in 28 receptions for 498 yards.

During his season in Buffalo he emerged as a capable red zone target for Tyrod Taylor. The Steelers desperately needed size at the wide receiver position after Sammie Coates became a non-factor, and Martavis Bryant being an unknown after his year-long suspension.

Hunter was mostly inactive for the Steelers last season before finding playing time when Antonio Brown was hurt late in the season.

His best game came against the Texans in week 16 when he caught a touchdown from Ben Roethlisberger.
