List of the Last 26 Players Cut from Steelers’ Roster

Not everyone can make the 53-man roster who participates in preseason games. While some still have a chance to be claimed or put on the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad, many will not find their ways back to Pittsburgh any time soon. Below is the list of players who were part of the final 80, but cut by the Steelers within the last couple days leading up to the 53-man roster announcement today at 4pm EST:

CB Shakur Brown

WR Anthony Johnson

S Lamont Wade

WR Matthew Sexton

CB Lafayette Pitts

DT T.J. Carter

OG Malcolm Pridgeon

LB Jamar Watson

LS Kameron Canaday

WR Rico Bussey

WR Cody White

OL Rashaad Coward

OL B.J. Finney

OL Chaz Green

OL John Leglue

Joshua Dobbs was placed on the Reserved/Injured list as he was injured in the final preseason game again the Carolina Panthers. Additionally, there is always a chance we see some of the guys in the black and gold on the practice squad as they await their chance to be active on the 53-man roster.

I am very surprised that BJ Finney was cut considering the lack of offensive line. No surprise with all others.
