The Pittsburgh Steelers undefeated season has come to an end following last night's loss at home at the hands of the Washington Football Team. Although the loss was a disappointment, it is hard to come down on a team that started the season 11-0. The game was ugly, the Steelers did not play up to par, and the outcome was a result of that. While the game was close, Washington pulled away at the end and played better than the Steelers did on their home turf, it was just as simple as that.
Now what to do? We move on to next week which just happens to be one of the biggest games that we will play this year. With first place and a number #1 seed in the AFC on the line for the remainder of the season, each game from here on out proves to be more important as the weeks go on. The Buffalo Bills are up next. Led by QB Josh Allen, they are a 9-3 football team, and have been playing well, having won 5 of their last 6 games. On paper, this is a top AFC match-up and could have huge playoff implications for both squads.
We need to move on and move forward, and we have a great opportunity to redeem ourselves this week in Buffalo on Sunday night. We match up with them well, both having a great defense supported by an offense with big play ability. There are play-makers on both sides of the ball for both football teams and both are led by outstanding QB play week in and week out. This could be a great time-setting game for all of the AFC if the Steelers become victorious this Sunday night.

Following this 5-star match-up, Pittsburgh will play 2 of the last 3 games this season away from Heinz Field. One being against Cincinnati to take on the Bengals on Monday Night Football in a Week 15 AFC North battle. Hosting the Indianapolis Colts at Heinz Field in Week 16 is next, and then taking on the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium. All 4 of the last 4 games for the Steelers are against playoff football teams this season. These last 4 games could have huge playoff implications for how the AFC playoff picture is going to turn out.
With the AFC North being in the Steelers favor, they will look to continue to have success and lock up that #1 spot in the AFC playoff picture and clinch that first round bye. The undefeated season was a great story, it was awesome to watch. It was the best start to a season in Pittsburgh Steelers history. Ironically, it is going to be how this team finished off the 2020 season that is going to determine their success.
