Mid season it was no secret that the Steelers offensive line was one of the best, if not THE best, in the NFL. Even when they were down their starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert, the line allowed just one sack of Ben Roethlisberger after going without one sack in previous games.
With the NFL Draft coming up, Maurkice Pouncey, Ramon Foster, Marcus Gilbert, David Decastro, and Alejandro Villanueva may be in new company. The next potential first-round pick the Pittsburgh Steelers could draft is, Yodny Cajuste.
Cajuste started 13 games in the 2017 season and was voted by coaches All-Big 12 2nd team tackle. And that was accomplished after a season-ending knee injury in 2016. One of the first things you can easily notice is the size of Cajuste. For an offensive lineman of his size, Cajuste has pretty impressive agility.
There’s always room for improvement. Although the Steelers could focus on rebuilding other areas of the team, the offensive line is the base to every NFL offense and tending to it is crucial. The highlight video below will give you a better idea of Cajuste’s speed, strength, balance, and leverage.
