The Steelers have a very important piece back for Sunday night’s playoff game in Pittsburgh. His name is Robert Spillane. He will immediately help a thin middle linebacker position and give them more flexibility.
The Steelers also activated starting guard Matt Feiler. It’s unclear if Feiler will regain his starting position after the emergence of rookie Kevin Dotson, but regardless it’s much needed depth to a thin offensive line.
The team also announced the elevation of Kevin Rader from the practice squad, and the release of linebacker Tegray Scales. Scales will likely be signed back to the practice squad next week if he isn’t claimed on waivers.
