Since playoffs aren't apart of the Pittsburgh Steelers future from this past season, the most important decisions to be made are the ones dealing with free agency this off-season. The most difficult decision for the team, and even the fans to have to come to terms with, will be the placement of linebacker, Ryan Shazier.

Missing the last two seasons, Shazier has continued to make progress with the back injury from a head-on-hit while playing against the Cincinnati Bengals in 2017. After that season, the Steelers honored the linebacker's fifth-year option contracting him to $8.718 million while on the Injured Reserve List.

This past season, the Steelers gave Shazier a one-year contract worth $473,000 and this off-season is still up in the air. The team will again have to decide on Shazier's potential for coming back for the team and suiting up again.

As amazing as it would be for fans and teammates to see Shazier back on the field for the black and gold, the reality could be a little different. The team will have to decide if he is able to come back or take a different route with his role with the Steelers.

Ryan Shazier and the Pittsburgh Steelers have had an understanding that he wouldn't be back until at least the 2020 season, and that isn't even near confirmed.

What do you think, Steeler Nation? Will Shazier suit up for the Steelers again, or will he take on a different role with the team? Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
