In honor of the NFL’s 100th season, a "Fantennial Weekend" will be held leading up to the Pittsburgh Steelers home opener.

The black and gold will host the Seattle Seahawks during the home opener at Heinz Field on Sunday, September 15.

On the Friday leading up, Steelers alumni and current players will attend a high school football game at Blackhawk High School featuring Riverside High School and Western Beaver.  Western Beaver's head coach is former Steelers WR, Derek Moye.

On Saturday, a Steelers Fan Fest will be held at Art Rooney Avenue outside of Heinz Field from 2-6 p.m. Fans are invited to take part in the activities and car show, and then a concert in the evening at Stage AE.

On Sunday before the game, the unveiling of the top play in team history (as voted on by fans), will take place. The team will also be giving away a trip to this year’s Super Bowl as part of an on-field halftime competition. Additionally, the high school teams and coaches from the Friday night high school football showcase will be recognized on the field during the game.

More details to come about the Steelers Fantennial Weekend will be announced on SteelerNation.com in the coming weeks.
