The Steelers have released running back Terrell Watson, and promoted running back Fitzgerald Toussaint from the practice squad.
Toussaint failed to make the 53 man roster during training camp after spending most of the past two seasons as the backup to Le'Veon Bell and DeAngelo Williams. Watson was primarily the short yardage back this season, but Bell has been taking those snaps as of late.
If Watson clears waivers he can be signed to the Steelers practice squad.
