Safety JJ Wilcox had been dealing with a concussion since he collided with Browns receiver Corey Coleman on Sept. 10. Wilcox was flagged on the play for unnecessary roughness for making contact with the helmet area of a defenseless receiver.
Today the Steelers announced that Wilcox had cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and would resume practicing with the team.
Wilcox was traded to the Steelers prior to week 1 from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a 6th round draft pick.
