Antonio Brown Expected To Play

Concerns have been flying around for the past 4 days that Antonio Brown might miss the divisional matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals tonight.

The star receiver is dealing with a little bit of turf toe, which is classifed as a sprain of the big toe joint.

Brown is expected to give the toe a test at some point today and decide if he's ready to go, but many are saying that Brown will indeed play. Mike Tomlin has a rule about practicing if you want to play in the game that week, but like everything else there is exceptions.

Dale Lolley of DK Pittburgh Sports reported yesterday that several sources close to the Steelers expect Brown to play even though he's listed as questionable on the Steelers injury report.

Brown last missed a game agaisnt the Broncos during the 2015 playoffs after suffering a concussion the week before on the Steelers game winning drive in Cincinnati. You have to go back to the 2012 season to find a regular season game that he missed because of injury. He sat out three games with a hamstring issue and the Steelers lost 2 of the 3 games.

Should Brown not be able to go tonight then JuJu Smith-Schuster would move into Browns spot with Eli Rogers taking over the slot. Darrius Heyward-Bey and Justin Hunter would also see an increased work load. Martavis Bryant said his role won't change regardless if Brown is unable to go.
