The Steelers have finally made a move. We have signed former Kansas City Chiefs CB Steven Nelson to a 3 year-$25.5 million dollar deal. Nelson is coming off of a career year where he totaled 68 tackles and 4 Interceptions. He ranked as the #33 corner in football last season according to Pro Football Focus with a 72.1 overall grade and was the most targeted CB in the league. Nelson is a huge upgrade over Artie Burns and Coty Sensabaugh who have had major ups and downs over the last couple of seasons. Depending upon the structure of the deal the new addition could carry an $8.5 million cap hit next season. This deal is a very strong under the radar signing and fills a clear need for the team heading into the draft.
