The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted University of Kentucky running back Benny Snell in the fourth round of the 2019 draft, which is a sneaky good pick. In his three seasons with the Wildcats, Snell ran well over 1,000 yards in each season and accumulated 48 rushing touchdowns. The former Kentucky running back averaged 5.3 yards per carry over the course of three seasons in addition to running his way to several SEC awards with the Wildcats.

Snell's name was discussed throughout his college career with other talented running prospects, but could the Steelers actually feature Snell into the offense this upcoming season? The answer is likely, yes.
While the Steelers have a talented running back corps with James Conner and Jaylen Samuels, Conner will have to rest sometimes and Samuels is definitely more of a pass-catcher. It's great the team drafted Snell considering Conner's injury history and Snell's ability to be a workhorse back could be huge for Pittsburgh. It's a bonus that Snell wants to be the new number 26 in Pittsburgh and Snell certainly has the big play ability to make a difference with the added incentive.
