About a week or so ago, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, Diontae Johnson had all of Steeler Nation buzzing with questions as he posted a picture of himself in a hospital on his Instagram. There were no details provided at the time, which led to a lot of speculation from the Steeler Nation community. It is now known that Johnson underwent sports-hernia surgery. It is unknown when or how long Johnson has been dealing with this injury, but it is a good thing he got it taken care of early this off-season.

Johnson never appeared on the injury report during the season with any designation similar to this injury, and these types of injuries could be something that can be played through for multiple seasons if minor. The surgery has a 4-6 week recovery time, and shouldn't interrupt any off-season activities with the team for Johnson. Johnson had a very good rookie season (he led all rookies in receptions and was named All-Pro as a punt returner), and entering team off-season activities fully healthy will help him take a second year leap. The Pittsburgh Steelers will need Johnson to be on his A game as they look to return to the playoffs in 2020.

Let us know how you think Diontae Johnson will perform in 2020 below!
