Eli Rogers has been a healthy scratch for the past two weeks. Rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster had taken his place in the slot, and Antonio Brown took over punt return duties in his absence.
Ben Roethlisberger said during his radio show that he believed Rogers would be involved in the game plan this week likely meaning the end of the Justin Hunter experience. Hunter had got the nod over Rogers in hopes of being able to stretch the field a little more, but Hunter had little involvement only catching one pass.
Smith-Schuster has contributed to the offense early, but sharing time with Rogers might not be the worst thing in the world for a struggling offense. Rogers has a year under his belt and has came up big on different occasions for Roethlisberger. His ability to find open space and read the defense will be a welcome sight for the offense.
