Eli Rogers Would Welcome Return

Former Pittsburgh Steelers WR Eli Rogers has been sitting at home since the Steelers released him at the end of training camp. That doesn't mean he hasn't been trying to get back into the league.

Rogers has worked out for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans since being released, but his desired destination is always Pittsburgh.

"Trust...I miss Steeler Nation," Rogers told our site last week.

We spoke to Rogers early this morning to find out if the Steelers had reached out to him yet and this is what he had to say:

"Not yet. Let’s wait and see what happens. If it is Gods Will I will be getting a call soon."

It's yet to be seen if JuJu Smith-Schuster or Diontae Johnson will be able to recover from the concussions they sustained on Thursday night in time to play next Sunday in Cincinnati. But the team will obviously need to make a move if one or both will be out for any length of time.

James Washington, Johnny Holton, and Tevin Jones are the only uninjured receivers left on the roster.

More to come.
