Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Charlie Batch has been helping families in need during the Coronavirus pandemic. Through his foundation, Batch has been delivering care packages filled with things that will help families having a hard time weathering this crisis.
The packages were named “Comfort in a Basket” and have been delivered to families throughout the month of April. They contain pillows, blankets, educational resources, and non-perishable food items. Batch himself helped deliver baskets to some organizations that would get them into the hands of families in the community.
Way to go, Charlie! This comes just days after hearing former Steelers safety, Troy Polamalu and his wife had similar efforts. Have you heard of other current or former players helping out during the current crisis? Let us know in the comments below.
