The Steelers added ten undrafted free agents shortly after the conclusion of Saturday's seventh round. Let's us at SteelerNation give you some information on these prospects.
CB James Pierre Florida Atlantic - 6'0 183LB - Pierre grades as a end of the roster corner, or practice squad player according to NFL.com. He came out of school a year early and could've benefited from staying for his senior year. He's an outside corner that tackles well, but lacks the fundamentals currently. He has the physical traits and flashes the proper skill set to be an NFL corner, but there's no consistency.
LB Leo Lewis Mississippi State - 6'2 245LB - Lewis started 13 games at Will linebacker for MSU in 2019. He shows he has the athletic ability to play at the NFL level, but has an inconsistent motor. He is quick to recognize plays, and has the range to play in the middle of a defense.
DE Calvin Taylor Kentucky - 6'9 311LB - Taylor was named to the All-SEC team in 2019. He finished with 85 tackles, and 10.5 sacks during his time at Kentucky. 8.5 of those sacks coming during the 2019 season.
LB John Houston USC - 6'3 220LB - Houston was the captain for USC during his senior season. Houston racked up a whopping 104 combined tackles in 2019 at USC, including seven tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks as well as three passes defended.
LB James Lockhart Baylor - 6'2 263LB - Lockhart transferred from Texas A&M to Baylor where he finished his college career. His size shows him to be a tweener, but if there ever was a franchise that loves tweeners it's the Steelers. He ran a 4.74 in the 40 which could give him a chance to make an impact on special teams.
CB Tajan Bandy Miami - 5'8 180LB - Bandy grades as a end of the roster corner, or practice squad player according to NFL.com. He came out of college early due to family needs. He's a questionable tackler and often gets lazy in zone coverage allowing extra separation that could've been avoided. His closing speed sometimes covers up this issue. His size puts him as a slot corned, but if his tackling doesn't improve he won't be a player for the Steelers.
DL Josiah Coatney Mississippi - 6'3 308LB - He graded out as an end of the roster player or practice squad player according to NFL.com. He often loses the initial one on one battles with offensive lineman, but his hand work allows him to battle back into the play. He was a three year starter that has a motor that keeps running.
FB Spencer Nigh Auburn 6'1 255LB - Nigh started 9 games for Auburn in 2019 as fullback, his first season under scholarship. He ran a 4.81 40 at his pro day and had 28 reps on the bench. He was strictly a blocker at Auburn only catching two passes, and rushing once.

C Christian Montano Tulane 6'3 316LB - Montano was ranked the 30th best center prospect by DraftCountdown. He was a grad transfer to Tulane after playing for Brown University. He spent time at left tackle and center.
P Corliss Waitman Mississippi State - 6'2 210LB - Waitman spent the beginning of his career at South Alabama before transfering. Injuries early on caused him to miss almost his entire redshirt freshman year. His best season came in 2017 when he averages 45.2 yards per punt. The Steelers value inside the 20 punts more than distance and if he can do that he may be able to challenge Jordan Berry.
