Earlier today, when asked about the possibility of playing elsewhere after free agency, Pittsburgh Steelers running back, James Conner made it clear his heart is in Pittsburgh. Speaking on the Adam Schefter Podcast Conner said this:

“It would be hard, it would be hard to put another helmet on. Just because of everything and what this city means to me. The city I played my college ball in, the city I had my life saved in, became healthy. The city I got drafted to, and I want to be able to say the city I brought a championship to. It would be hard. I'm Pittsburgh through and through.”

Conner became a fan favorite and a citywide hero after playing for Pitt football and overcoming Hodgkin’s Lymphoma while at Pitt. The Steelers drafted him as a third rounder in 2017 and in 2018, Conner had a Pro Bowl season with over 900 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. Four injuries slowed him down considerably in 2019, but he seems ready and excited to get back to work in 2020.
