Mike Mitchell just won AFC Defensive player of the week while playing for the Indianapolis Colts against the Buffalo Bills. Mitchell finished his monster game with an interception, forced fumble, 2 passes defensed, and 7 tackles!
In 2 games with the Colts, Mitchell has made more splash plays than he did for the Steelers in 13 games! Mike finished last season with 0 interceptions, 0 forced fumbles, and 2 passes defensed, though he did have 1 fumble recovery.
It looks like Mike's hamstring issues are behind him, as he's been able to rest all offseason, and was only picked up 2 weeks ago by the Cots. It's great to see Mitchell have some success, as he is a class act teammate and positive locker room presence. May he have a healthy year and continue to make plays, as long as it's not against the Steelers...
