The Pittsburgh Steelers have activated offensive guard Stefen Wisniewski from the reserve/injured list this Wednesday.
After filling in for starting guard David DeCastro in the season opener, Wisniewski was placed on the IR list with a pectoral injury.
Wisniewski resumed practicing on October 14th, and today was the final day to activate him or they would have to keep him on the IR list through the remainder of the season.
In order to make room on the active roster, the Steelers placed linebacker Ulysees Gilbert III on the IR list with a back injury. Back injuries have been a reoccurring theme throughout Gilbert's career and there is no timetable for his return.
