The off-season is often a time in which many players partake in different forms of entertainment, including some of the most popular game shows on television. Airing Sunday night, Cameron Heyward will lead the NFLPA All-Star team into battle against the NFLPA Legends, who appear to be led by Aeneas Williams. The NFLPA Legends team also contains a former lifetime Pittsburgh Steelers center in Dermontti Dawson, who played for the Steelers from 1988 to 2000, and was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012.
NFLPA All-Star Team: Cameron Heyward, Michael Thomas, Lamar Jackson, Bradley Chubb, and Stephone Gilmore
NFLPA Legends Team: Aeneas Williams, Dermontti Dawson, Tim Brown, Jackie Slater, and Brian Urlacher
Both teams are playing for significant causes, as the NFLPA All-Stars will be playing for the Professional Athlete Foundation, while the NFLPA Legends will be playing for the Team Gleason Foundation. The Professional Athlete Foundation aims to assist former NFL players with life after football, while the Team Gleason Foundation aims to raise awareness for, and to help those who have been diagnosed with ALS. It is a win-win situation as both teams are there to support great causes.
In later episodes, other members of the Steelers family will also be competing, as both Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw, and current fan favorite JuJu Smith-Schuster,will take the stage with their families in separate episodes. Terry Bradshaw and his family will battle off against Adam Rippon and his family. Rippon is an Olympic figure skater, and also a winner of Dancing with the Stars on ABC.
JuJu and his family will take on video game sensation Tyler Blevins, better known as 'Ninja', and his family. This will definitely be a fun episode to watch, as both Ninja and JuJu are very animated personalities, who are not unfamiliar with each other. JuJu and Ninja have teamed up several times playing Fortnite together, and they get the attention of almost all the younger generation any time they are together.
Members of the Steelers family are definitely going to be a frequent presence during this season of Celebrity Family Feud. It is good to see former and current Steelers on television with a fun and positive light on them, after what has been and mixed bag this off-season.
