The Steelers made another roster move on Tuesday, signing undrafted free agent running back Ralph Webb to the practice squad.
Webb left Vanderbilt as the schools all time leading rusher after starting all four years. His production dipped as a senior and he went undrafted in April.
The New England Patriots signed Webb and he played in all four of the Patriots preseason games for them. When asked about Webbs two touchdown performance during the Patriots first preseason game coach Bill Belichick had this to say.
"I think that's pretty much what we've seen from Ralph all the way through," Belichick said. "He's been kind of like that I'd say going all the way back to his freshman year and his career at Vanderbilt. He had a lot of production down there and ran hard. Took a lot of hits like all the backs do in that conference and he's given us that same kind of effort. It was good to see him in game action, be able to break some tackles, get downhill, get some tough yards."
Webb fill the open spot the Steelers had on their practice squad after promoting Trey Edmunds to the 53 man roster.
