PITTSBURGH, PA - Houston Texans' defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was named to his third Pro Bowl Selection this season, but has decided to opt out of the upcoming exhibition game.
Because of this, it's opened the door and opportunity for Pittsburgh Steelers' young star linebacker T.J. Watt to head to his first ever Pro Bowl. Watt will have a chance to join his older brother J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans on the defensive side of the ball.
Many believed that T.J. would've made the Pro Bowl roster during the first wave of votes as he led the Steelers and finished tied for seventh in the league with 13 sacks. This is just T.J.'s second year in the league as he also added 68 total tackles and six forced fumbles.
T.J. will join Juju Smith-Schuster, James Conner, Cameron Heyward, Maurkice Pouncey, David DeCastro, Alejandro Villanueva, and Antonio Brown as fellow teammate selections.
More to come.
