Winners

Devin Bush: Seems like a theme has started here. Bush was by far this week's biggest winner. He recorded 7 total tackles, a pass defense, an interception, fumble recovery and a touchdown. Without a doubt, Bush has inserted himself as a defensive rookie of the year candidate. With Stephon Tuitt now out for the year with a torn pectoral muscle, the defense needs Bush to continue to be a playmaker. Bush is on pace for over 120 total tackles, which is something this defense has missed since the injury to LB Ryan Shazier.

Steelers Defense: With 3 more turnovers, the defense now has 15 on the year, which matches their total for the entirety of the 2018 season. Only the New England Patriots have forced more turnovers than the Steelers this season. While the defense still needs to make improvements, this is very encouraging to see. Minkah Fitzpatrick, Devin Bush and Steven Nelson have been without a doubt massive upgrades.

Steelers Run Game: After an incredibly slow start to the season, James Conner erupted with 119 scrimmage yards and 2 touchdowns. Benny Snell Jr. added another 75 yards on the ground. The Steelers run game allowed them to control the time of possession and limit Hodges' need to throw.

Devlin Hodges: No, Hodges didn't light up the Los Angeles Chargers defense or do anything spectacular, but he did an excellent job in the role he was asked to fill and won his first NFL game as starting quarterback. Unless Mason Rudolph faces a setback or sustains another injury, it's a safe bet to assume we won't see Hodges again this year. Firm believer Hodges will have a strong career as a back up in the NFL.

Losers

Stephon Tuitt: After sustaining a torn pectoral, Tuitt will now miss the rest of the season. He has arguably been the best defender on the team this season registering an amazing 89.4 grade from Pro Football Focus. As a comparison, Aaron Donald has received a 91.2 grade. Tuitt will be greatly missed on defense.

JuJu Smith-Schuster: With just 1 catch for 7 yards, Smith-Schuster struggled greatly against CB Casey Hayward who allowed Antonio Brown to go for 10 rec and 154 yards only 1 year ago. Granted, JuJu had a third string QB under center. Nevertheless, JuJu's production this season as the number 1 guy has been underwhelming thus far. 'Bad JuJu' has yet to make an appearance.

Kameron Kelly: The defense was very strong but when weakness showed, Kelly was the culprit a large amount of the time. He struggled to cover TE Hunter Henry throughout the night. Safe to say, once Sean Davis returns from the IR, Kelly will be back on the practice squad.
