Tuesday, Pittsburgh Steelers' tight end Xavier Grimble signed his original-round tender. This means Grimble will remain with the organization for at least one more season until the team decides on what they what to do with him.
Grimble finished the 2018 season with just six catches for 86 yards. His impact came more as a blocking and special teams type of player.
With former Steelers tight end Jesse James now in Detroit with the Lions, Grimble could see his reception count go up as he heads into the 2019 season as one of only two tight ends currently on the roster behind starter Vance McDonald.
What do you guys think? Do you like the one-two punch of McDonald and Grimble? Or is it time the Steelers used one of their early draft picks on a young and rising tight end? Comment below!
