The Pittsburgh Steelers and Kraft Heinz have come to terms on a new contract that will keep the name Heinz inside of newly named Acrisure Stadium. And according to the report one of the ketchup bottles that was just removed from the Steelers scoreboard could be returning in some fashion.
According to the Steelers vice President of sales and marketing, Ryan Huzjak, the Steelers and Kraft Heinz are very happy to be continuing their partnership that's spanned for over 20 years.
“We’re happy to say we’re going to continue to work with Heinz. Heinz is going to continue to be a corporate partner of ours,” Huzjak said via the Post Gazette.
Now the biggest topic of the past week has been the stadium changing names. Most Steelers fans aren't too thrilled with the out of town sponsor coming in and removing a name brand that's synonymous with the area. Then on Wednesday the team removed the ketchup bottles from the score board and sent the fan base into another frenzy. But it appears all hope isn't lost for the famous ketchup bottles.

“There’s a lot that needs to be covered in terms of detail but we’re working on an opportunity where we can have a bottle visible at the stadium,” Huzjak said.
“There are some challenges because the bottles are old and the materials provide some challenges. But we’re hopeful to have them on display in a Heinz-sponsored area so the fans can continue to sort of enjoy the history of the building and enjoy that aspect of it.”
While this isn't the answer that many fans were looking for, it is still something. A little bit of the Pittsburgh tradition will live on with the bottles on display somewhere near or in the stadium.
But the one thing that will stay the same is the Heinz Redzone when Pittsburgh enters inside of the opponents 20 yard line. So, whether its Kenny Pickett, or Mitchell Trubisky, when he leads the Pittsburgh offense in to score it'll still be the same old Heinz Redzone.
