Even the casual NFL fan should know the name Stephon Tuitt by now. In his 7th year with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tuitt has career highs in sacks (11), tackles for loss (10), and QB hits (25) in the 2020 regular season (his sack total being good for 8th best in the league). In most Steelers fans eyes, he was the ultimate All-Pro snub this year, but that's not stopping Tuitt from pursuing his ultimate goal.
When meeting with the media on Friday, Tuitt was asked about winning the Ed Courage Award, recovering from his season-ending injury last year, and the special opportunities the playoffs present.
"In this game, you can be up, or you can be down. Last year, I was up, and then I went down quicker than I wanted to. I just used that opportunity to get my body back prepared to play this season -- and I have. And I showcased that. Now, I'm turning it up a notch to make sure we increase our intensity for the playoffs. I'm just going to continue to work on my body, continue to help push through it for this year, especially after having a year off of football, and make plays and do the things I need to do for our team to try and help us win."
The Steelers are set to take on the Cleveland Browns for the third time this season on Sunday night, January 10th, 2021 at 8:15pm ET at Heinz Field.
