James Conner and his ankle took a step back this week. After practicing the week before in a limited capacity, he could not practice at all this week. As a result he is already ruled out for today’s game.
JuJu Smith-Schuster was the surprise injury of the week, tweaking his groin on Thursday, and it held him out of practice completely on Friday. He is listed as questionable for today’s game.
Terrell Edmunds cleared concussion protocol and will play. Vince Williams, Bud Dupree, and Cameron Heyward will also play. All 3 had injuries that occurred the last game, but returned to finish the game, and had no problem finishing practice this week.
I track and try to predict timelines for Steeler players returning to the field. This is a link to our current spreadsheet. It will update on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday after the practice reports are issued, as well as Post-Game and Tuesday after Coach Tomlin's press conferences. I believe the inactive players will be:
- Mason Rudolph: Healthy Scratch/ 3rd QB
- James Conner: Listed as out, so he will not play
- Zach Banner: Is the choice on offense line to sit.
- Ola Adeniyi: was inactive last week and probably will be again this week
- LT Walton: The DL is healthy so LT will be inactive.
- Brian Allen: The corners are healthy, so Brian usually rests when that happens.
- Marcus Allen: If JuJu is playing, as he indicated on twitter, Marcus will not get a hat.
After getting 6/7 correct last game, my predictions are 86/98 on the year.
